Hi, I’m Kim Longacre
I’m a long-time Austinite, teacher, writer, family, friend, and fan of the local music scene, and believer in achieving world peace through personal growth. Tarot can help guide folks towards compassionate care of self and others as we trip and stumble on our paths towards meaningful lives.
You are here…
We’re all on a journey of some kind, and a reading works like a wayfinding map, the kind at the mall, with the big red, inverted teardrop showing you where you are.
As we search for meaning…
The first of the Four Noble Truths in Buddhism is that suffering is an inherent aspect of life.
The second truth is that it is rooted in what we can’t see or understand. We become derailed, confused, anxious, burned-out, untethered.
Tarot can help us see.
How it works…
Tarot is a tool for cultivating synchronicity. Synchronicity feels like numinous, meaningful coincidences, and they work like breadcrumbs leading us towards the paths we are meant to be on. The images can be interpreted in multiple ways and provide a link between one’s outer and inner world.
The cards highlight patterns we have a hard time seeing. They ask us to consider new ways to view our situations, and suggest new approaches or energies to enlist so we gain traction on our paths.
I was trained that a reading is an interactive experience; the reader(me) and the querant(you) co-create the response to the question. The goal of a reading is to help you find balance between fate and agency, and discover inner resources you weren’t aware of.
